The Baddadz made the transition from Robbie back to Johnny B over the weekend, resulting in a lot of chord changes/harmonies to remember! It was great to have JB back, and we settled into our old sound quickly. An amazing turnout from our friends at The Eagle’s Nest yesterday, thank you all for being there! The gallery photos are courtesy of Michael Iwanoski and Cathleen Sullivan. Thank you both for the photos!
We said a heartfelt thanks and goodbye for now to Robbie House on Friday night, I know that we’ll see him again in the future and we look forward to having him sit in with us. Another thing that changed with us is Loyd Bohlinger. Loyd came and set in with us just a few gigs after Robbie stepped in, and he made an amazing difference to the sound. Loyd will be joining us for most gigs in the future, and we’re thrilled to work with him. Last but absolutely not least, Johnny Bland returns to us full time, starting today at 3 p.m. at The Eagle’s Nest. It’s hard to believe four months has passed by, but we’re thrilled to have him back with us!
Johnny Bland rejoined us yesterday for the Kim Abbott benefit at Jerry’s, followed by a set from Robbie House. That’s sort of what we have in store for this week, as Robbie plays his final gig with us at Stan’s Bistro on Friday April 24 at 8 pm. Saturday I’ll be playing solo at Sunset Grill from 7-10pm, and then Johnny will play his first gig back with us on Sunday as we open the patio at The Eagle’s Nest from 3-7pm.
Robbie House will play his last gig as a stand-in Baddad at Stan’s American Bistro on April 24th. We were incredibly fortunate that he was both willing and able to step in and cover for Johnny Bland while he healed from his shoulder surgery, and can’t thank him enough for the great times we’ve had working with him. Johnny’s first gig back will be at The Eagle’s Nest on April 26th.
Summer must be near – The Baddadz are at The Eagle’s Nest! April 26, 3-7pm with Johnny Bland back in the saddle. Great food, a wonderful staff and more fun than people our age should be allowed to have.
