We had a great time at Jerry’s this past weekend, and now it’s time to head back to Virginia Beach. We’ll be there for two shows this weekend – on Friday we’re at Froggie’s Cantina starting at 8:30 p.m., and on Saturday we’ll be at Stan’s Bistro starting at 8:00 p.m. Thanks to Stephen Sloop from Meona for the photos!
The Baddadz return to Jerry’s in Chesapeake this Friday, February 13, starting at 9 PM. This will be our first time playing there with Loyd Bohlinger on drums – if you haven’t heard us with Loyd yet, you really are in for a treat, he’s simply one of the best in the area on percussion.
In other band news, The Baddadz will be returning to The Thirsty Camel in Norfolk one Thursday a month, beginning on Thursday, March 12. Two for One Steak night was just too good to pass up on! We’re looking forward to seeing Denise and all our Ocean View friends at The Camel again.
The Baddadz debut with Robbie House sittin’ in for Johnny Bland Friday night at Jerry’s in Chesapeake, beginning at 9 pm. Robbie brings some really fun new music to the sets, with tunes from Tom Petty, CCR, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Neil Young tunes all making their way into the set lists. Harmonies have always been our thing, and Robbie’s voice is really amazing. For his Snuff Fans, Robbie will also be performing the classic Poco tune, Rose Of Cimarron, with the Baddadz throwing in their harmonies behind him. It promises to be a fun night, we hope to see you there!
Jerry’s is located at 1104 Sparrow Road, Chesapeake, VA 23325.
The Baddadz finished up the weekend at Froggie’s last night, our last gig with Johnny until he returns from shoulder surgery. The band is off next weekend, however Michael will be appearing solo at Sunset Grill in Norfolk.
We’ll debut with Johnny’s stand-in, Robbie House, on January 23rd at Jerry’s in Chesapeake.
Tomorrow night at The Barrel in Portsmouth, and if everything goes well, Saturday at Froggie’s too, The Baddadz will have two of the best vocalists in the area on hand. Johnny Bland will be there as well as Robbie House for what promises to be a great evening. These will be JB’s last appearances with us before his surgery, and Robbie’s first with us as Johnny’s temporary replacement.
These guys are both incredible talents, and so these two nights promise to be exceptionally good. I hope all of our friends will be out to let Johnny know how much we’ll miss him, and to let Robbie know how thrilled we are to get to play music with him.
Both nights begin at 8:30 PM. The Barrel II is in Portsmouth at 5770 Churchland Boulevard. Froggie’s Cantina is at 3656 Shore Drive in Virginia Beach. Reservations are accepted at both and should be considered for these two evenings.
