Just a quick shout out to Denise and everyone else at the Thirsty Camel to say thanks for the many good times that the Baddadz enjoyed there over the years. We had a great time on Thursday with friends old and new. To set the record straight, we have not decided to stop playing there due to any issue with the Camel or their incredible staff – it simply became too demanding for us to play on a week night, when we all have day jobs that can be pretty intense and demanding. Under the right circumstances, we may be back there again someday – I certainly would like to think so.
Friday was another fun night at Jerry’s – good crowd and good friends. It was great to see J.D. Silva pop in after his gig at Wicker’s was over.
Saturday we played a private Christmas party where they fed us huge steaks with homemade green beans and baked potatoes. I’ve decided that musicians are like circus animals – you probably should feed us after the show. All I really wanted to do after eating was lay down and take a nap.
We have three more dates before the end of the year. This Friday we’ll be at The Barrel, and then we finish off 2013 at Mario’s on Friday Dec, 20, followed by Froggie’s on Saturday, Dec. 21.
